HERONSWOOD

BOTANICAL GARDEN

our happy place

A LITTLE ABOUT HERONSWOOD

Heronswood was founded in 1987 by PNW plant guru Dan Hinkley, who has traveled the world more than 35 times (over several decades) collecting plants and seeds to test and display at Heronswood. If you take time to wander through the majestic pathways, you’ll find plants collected from places like Chile, Turkey, Tasmania and China (to name just a few) thriving in the PNW. The property was closed and neglected from 2006 to 2012 until the Port S’Klallam Tribe purchased it and brought Hinkley back in as an advisor to restore the garden. The land is now secured under tribal trust status and maintained by a small staff under Hinkley’s direction. We hope you enjoy a little escape from busy life to this inspiring and calm place that is overflowing with life.

Note:

The wedding venue does have on-site parking if you are not utilizing the shuttles.

The welcome dinner venue (a State Park) also has on-site parking but requires a discovery pass.
